Outrageously average Mexican
We’ve been holding of reviewing Mad Mex for close to a year. As self-confessed addicts for great Tex-Mex and SoCal Mexican we were hoping things would get better. Despite all the hype of Crown Street’s newest fast food eatery we have to say its average at best. Similar to Iku after a few meals everything starts to taste the same. They’ve taken a great idea and watered it down. Corn chips, while originally handmade, are now the cheap supermarket ‘Doritos’ variety, servings are small and they frequently run of key ingredients (such as guacamole, tortillas). While it is worthy of the occasional late night take away if in the vicinity, all said and done this is outrageously average Mexican.

I agree with some of this revue, but small servings? Are you serious? The vege burritos are too big to handle.
