The good, the bad and the ugly.
After a few trips and conversations with contributors and friends the verdict is back on Macro’s vegan pancakes. Consensus here is that quality, taste and size is store specific. Without a doubt the one’s at the Newtown store are up there with the ‘scrambled vomit’ tofu from their menu, while the one’s at Bondi are quite good. I’d recommend going over to Bondi trying them for yourself (if you can put up with their Aryan breeder clientèle). Next time VeganSydney is at Macro Newtown (do we ever need to go in that cafe again?) we’ll be sure to ask them why the pancakes only taste good at Bondi.
